Tumescent Liposuction

At Marietta Plastic Surgery, our preferred liposuction method is tumescent liposuction. The procedure for tumescent liposuction consists of injecting a solution comprised of saline and anesthesia into the areas where you desire to have fat deposits reduced. The solution numbs the area, constricts the blood vessels, and helps prevent dehydration. Fat can then be removed by suction through a thin hollow tube called a cannula.

Tumescent liposuction has several benefits:

There are newer liposuction technologies available, generally claiming some form of technological innovation, our surgeons have tried them, but found they are more promise than performance.
