Cup size is inconsistent from brand to brand of bras and a fairly poor measurement of what you hope to achieve with breast augmentation. Breast implants are not sized like bra cups. Instead, they are measured in specific volume measurements, cubic centimeters, called cc’s. Each cc is the same as a milliliter, and there are about 237 milliliters to a cup.

However, as a starting point, letting your Atlanta breast augmentation surgeon know what cup size you would like to be will give him a better idea of what you hope to achieve. Even more helpful is bringing in a specific bra or outfit you want to be able to wear.

Equally helpful are pictures of breasts you find attractive. Bringing these pictures to your initial consultation will help your surgeon determine what breast enlargement options, including implant size, will best help you achieve your desired results. There are a couple things to remember when bringing pictures. First, most pictures in magazines are photoshopped to unrealistic shapes and proportions. And remember that breast augmentation cannot be used to give you the same breasts as another woman—your results will be controlled by personal factors.

Our plastic surgeons strive to achieve natural looking breast augmentation results. The best way to do this is through an assessment of your anatomical features and how they relate to your chest. With this information, one of our board-certified* plastic surgeons can determine the implant size necessary to bring balance and womanly appeal to your breasts. Working with you on an individual basis, one of our plastic surgeons will be able to provide you with the look you desire.
