A “weekend” facelift is a minor facelift procedure with minimal recovery time. It can provide good results for our Atlanta area patients who are not ready for a full facelift, but would like to correct minor sagging in their mid-face.
With a weekend facelift – often called a short scar face lift – a small incision is made in front of your ear to allow the surgeon to correct sagging in your mid and lower face. Your skin and muscle are tightened to give you the desired result but not to the extent of a full facelift. The surgery only takes a couple of hours.
For many patients, the appeal of a weekend facelift is the shorter recovery period. You can be back to work within a week. However, a weekend facelift will not produce the same overall results as a full facelift.
