If you pay attention to beauty trends, you may have heard of CoolSculpting, but you may not understand what it is. CoolSculpting is a nonsurgical, noninvasive fat reduction method. There are no injections, no anesthesia, and no pain.
CoolSculpting is used to reduce unsightly fat bulges, mostly in the abdomen, such as the love handle area. During the CoolSculpting procedure, the device is positioned over the fat deposits you wish to reduce. The device uses suction to pull the fat deposit in, pressing it between two cooling panels. These cooling panels are used to reduce the temperature of the fat deposit, freezing the fat cells. These frozen fat cells will die over a few weeks and be removed by the body up to about three months after treatment.
Except for some minor redness, bruising, tingling, numbness, or mild discomfort, most people see no side effects from CoolSculpting, and because there’s no anesthesia, you can return to work or other daily activities right away.
